To all the facilities that hosted and presented in 2009!

The 'Idea Exchange’ sessions are structured around activities and innovations in long-term care nursing homes in Rhode Island that address issues of person-centered care and services.

In 2009, Rhode Island nursing homes that participated in the Individualized Care Pilot-2 (ICP-2) showcased their successes on a monthly basis.  These nursing homes have worked diligently in implementing practices that not only meet regulatory standards, but also accomplish individualized, resident-centered care in one of these three key areas: 

Waking & sleeping; Consistent assignment (staffing); Noise reduction

The RI Generations team is now soliciting suggestions for topics and presentations of this nature or on any initiatives promoting person-centered or directed care in their programs.

Coffee Exchange sessions are usually scheduled to RIG member meeting dates so that participants have an opportunity to join in the meeting if they wish - however, the Coffee Exchange is open to other possibilities - talk to us!
